Marketing | Our News | Special Offers 20 October 2010

Well, after months of promising I am pleased and relieved to announce the launch of our brand new, all singing and dancing, gloriously groovy and greenly gorgeous website - www.alocalprinter.com.  When we first launched our site in 2006 we were certainly the first all eco printing site, and one of only a handful of on-line printers.  The site worked really well for us and although it was a bit 'clunky' by comparison to the newer sites it has always had a loyal following (thanks guys!).

Amongst your old favourite products you will see a few new categories, notably our Eco-Shop, which although in its fledgling stages is already selling packs of eco Christmas Cards on 100% recycled board with matching 100% recycled eco wrapping paper.  We have lots more products to go up, so keep popping by to see what's new.  You can be assured that everything we sell is a) lovingly made by us in West Sussex and b) totally eco in relation to materials and printing.

We are also awarding Loyalty Points on all our website orders  - and we all know what points make.  So for each order you place with us you will be heading towards receiving something back.  About time too in my opinion - I've wanted to get this off the ground for years!

Finally for now we also have the ability to offer voucher codes which I will publish on Twitter.  Keep an eye out for these - it will give you a percentage off various product categories for a limited time frame.

We really hope that you enjoy the new site and find it easier to use.  We welcome all your comments on how we could improve things and what new products you would like to see.  Comment via the blog or email me - miranda@alocalprinter.com.

Unfortunately when a mistake is made by this company they are unable to take responsability for it and I am now left 500 posters that I cannot use. I telephoned immediately when realising that I made a mistake whilst ordering online and made the changes verbally with a representative (and paid extra) but regretfully this company is using the excuse that the changes were not made in writing. Totally disgraceful.

In response to the comments by Tina Priestman the customer ordered posters on the wrong material and wrong size. Following her call we amended the order to the correct size, from A4 to A3 hence the increase in price. We were not asked to change the material so continued with the order and dispatched it in good faith. During follow up conversations with this customer we offered a discount as a good will gesture but she preferred to take the matter to Paypal who found in our favour. As an ISO 9001 company we take all complaints seriously and try to deal with them fairly.

Hi there Your site locals great - I really like the way the double left/right sidebar frames the content - but there seems to be a problem viewing posts on the blog's main page. If I click on any of the post summaries to read the full post, I am presented with a message that I don't have sufficient permission to view the page and I need to log in...? I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not, but if it is then there are probably lots of people who are unable to access some of your great content. If a log-in is required, I haven't seen anywhere to sign up, so perhaps some of the content is for customers' eyes only? Anyway, just thought I'd offer you the heads-up. Dawson

Woops. Your site "looks" great - not "locals" great. Although I'm sure it looks great to locals...lol...

Definitely a nice looking, clean site. I like the use of the double-sidebars. Nice work!
