World Water Day is on 22 March and will be supported by a number of worldwide events.  Launched by the UN in 1992 the annual events are designed to focus on water management and the importance of the clean water availability.  Water scarcity already affects 40% of the people on the planet and this is due to get worse.

WRAP has launched Rippleffect, a FREE support pack to show businesses how they can save and use water more efficiently - and in turn save money.

In a nod to joined up thinking MEPS have called for a standardised ‘colour-coding’ system to help categorise different types of waste across Europe.  “A common EU standard for colour-coding categories of waste for sorting and recycling be agreed so as to facilitate and improve citizens' participation in and understanding of the waste process".  The theory being that this may assist Member States' efforts to increase recycling rates significantly and quickly.  Well, let's just watch this space.

This 4 page A5 recycled leaflet printing has been put to great use here for an organic restaurant.  This leaflet menu is printed on our litho presses using vegetable oil based inks on 100% recycled paper. You've just got to love this 10 page DL concertina leaflet printing!  Printed on 100% recycled paper using vegetable oil based inks for a very groovy organic finish.  This leaflet printing was done as a bespoke job becasue it has 10 pages, but you can order 8 page and 12 page concertina leaflets from our website.

This poster printing comes with a serious message - how we should eat well to stay healthy.  This A2 poster printing uses vegetable oil based inks on 170gsm FSC Mix Gloss Art for a high gloss finish that is still eco friendly. This colourful printed poster identifies all of the major food groups and provides guidelines for how much of each makes a healthy diet.  In fact it is so useful that I am putting one up in the office - If it doesn't work in educating it might work in shaming!
