04 October 2007 - Blog Launched
We have been extremely busy over the summer so apologies for not posting any news for a while! One of the things that has kept us busy is the development of our Company Blog which is launched today. We will post our news on the Blog instead of this page in the future. We shall also be posting articles, tips and tutorials relating to print, paper and all things eco. We hope you enjoy our Blog - please visit it and feel free to post your comments!

At last - we have access to a 150gsm gloss art paper that meets our "FSC Certified" requirements. This means we can now offer our customers Leaflet Printing at extremely competitive prices - even compared to the thinner 130gsm normally offered - without compromising our environmental criteria!

We are pleased to announce that we will be phasing in 24 hour production over the next 2 months, increasing capacity from our current double shift (16 hours per day). This will reduce our delivery times even further to keep us at the forefront of online printing in the UK.

Today we have signed an order for the new Konica Minolta bizhub PRO C6500 digital press. At last, this next generation digital printer ticks all the boxes from a quality, cost and environmental point of view! This means a broader range of products and lower quantities at very attractive prices will be available soon. The new press is due to be installed by the end of March. A new starter today! Hurrah!! Out in the factory we welcome Steve Vandepeer who has taken on the task of supporting our warehouse and finishing operations. Brave man.

Oh yes, we are very, very excited! The first elements of our new printing equipment arrives on Monday 2nd October closely followed by a brand new, shiny, state of the art 5 colour plus coater B2 printing press on October 16th. But how does this stack up with our eco-friendly printing stance? Quite simply this new equipment allows us to print quicker, cleaner and more efficiently. So our customers and the environment will benefit from our investments.

New - Fixed Price Design -Whilst many of our customers supply artwork which they upload with their order or send in on disk we are often asked to undertake the design work as well as the printing - a service we are happy to provide! To make life easier we have devised a fixed design price for every product we sell online, which you can select and order as a package in the shop - expanding our ethos of "ho hidden extras" - simple!

With bags of experience in B1, B2 and B3 litho printing Owen brings a whole heap of knowledge, skill and perception to the company. Owen's aim is to sniff out where there are any improvements to be made and make our production slicker than a slippery coated billiard ball with the wind behind it.

Our brand spanking new and truly fantastic Horizon StitchLiner saddle stitching line arrives this week. Able to produce CD, DL, A5, A4 and square booklets and brochures with up to 48pp we are looking forward to getting stuck in with some demanding jobs!
